Hi from Coulsdon, Surrey
Hi. I bought my Wind yesterday (Monday). Being brutally honest, I think I'd only ever seen one once before, at a Renault garage when I went there to test drive a Clio. I was impressed by the Wind, less impressed by the Clio which I decided wasn't special enough. The Wind was out of my price range then.
I've had three MG TFs and my plan was to get a firth but my budget only permitted me to get older ones. After months of looking for the 'right' TF, I cast the net further afield, and to my surprise found a Wind down the road from me.
I couldn't be happier with it. The alloy wheels could do with some TLC as the previous owner liked shaping kerbs, a LOT. Other than that it's in presentable condition. I love the roof, so much better than the MG. The interior could be more luxurious, but it's not bad at all.
I will post some pictures, but I want to take it somewhere nice to take them. Hi everyone!
Oh, it's a 1.2 Dynamique, black 2010 reg.

Blue is lovely, but if it was life or death, I'd choose black every time. Perhaps I might get a second one in blue in the future. A colour for every day of the week

Hi Windy,
Welcome to the group, the alloys are very easy to kerb as I found out after spending £200 having mine refurbished. Ignore Barbs white is the best colour, very classy.

Hi,
Welcome aboard.
My MG history is 2 MGBs, an MG Metro, & ; like yourself; two TFs a 115 (2004) & a 160 (2003).
If I'm honest I do prefer the TF's driveability but now we are older yet still touring Europe by car the Wind has raised refinement levels as well as boot space for our trips. The more we use the Wind the more we respect it's attributes.
My 1.6 GT Line is my daily driver as well as our holiday car. My wife caters for four seats when we need them with her 2013 Captur.
Emjoy your Wind.

Now I've had the Wind for 5 full days and comparing it to the MG, they are different, but I like them similarly. If the TFLE 500 I had (2009) had some modern conveniences, that would probably win, but it was missing basic function like bluetooth connectivity which I am finding very useful. In time I may have another MG, but perhaps as a second car, and perhaps (when a new MG sports cars comes out (If that every happens).

Hi Windy,
Re TFs:
My Trophy Yellow TF115 was bought from new in 2004 when I retired so we could continue & expand on our European road trips. It was well specified even having Air Con. We enjoyed it for many years until someone ran into the back of it. Although repaired we never felt the same in it so it had to go. An 18 mth flirtation with a 2000 Alfa Spider 3 litre; a fantastic/eccentric car with a V6 motor to die for which drank petrol like no tomorrow; brought us back to the MG fold with a 2003 TF160.
Loved it & it's engine; with the unique MG/Rover VVC system; delivered torque right across the rev range; unlike many modern VVT & small turbo engines.
Eventually the search for more refinement; plus a useable boot; brought us to the Wind. We had only ever seen two of them before: in Italy & France. Thought they looked interesting so we did some research & bought a 1.6 GT Line with just 5500 on the clock.
Our ideal touring car? The Wind fitted with the TF160 engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
