Bluetooth stereo upgrade

Hi, I’m thinking of buying a Gordini 1.2 I’ve seen for sale but it doesn’t appear to have the 2x35w stereo with Bluetooth connection and USB socket. I thought it was standard equipment for this model?

Anyways how easy is to upgrade the head unit and multifunction display that the GT line version have? Has anyone done this before?

I don’t think it’s a straight forward swap, but it can be done. Are you a member of the Renault Wind Owners Club UK on Facebook as there’s a guy on there who has done exactly what you are wanting to do with his Gordini?

I think I may be 'that bloke' from FB! Sounds like you've got a Fukashima Wind.....no BT stereos due to shortages of chips etc due to the Fukashima disaster in 2010. It's an easy swap if you have the right parts - which you can usually get on eBay or from breakers. It's a bit trickier if you want the full hands free telephone experience as you'll need to install the microphone. Join up up on FB and post the question and I'll either post or send the part numbers and pics etc. BTW the USB connectivity is not worth the effort - it's not a charging point and was only really for connecting hardwired iPods etc - these days I just stream music and digital radio from my phone - works brilliantly. One guy changed his usb input into a charger by hooking it up to the 12v in the glove box - I'll be doing the same eventually Give me a few days to reply but it's not a massive job
