Picking up my new Wind tomorrow
Hi
I'm excited to be picking up my new Wind tomorrow morning, so looking forward to asking lots of questions when I get it. 61 plate in Black, GT line 1.6. I'm from a village near Doncaster, so no doubt a certain administrator will be waving madly at me when she sees me driving by in Doncaster ...
Some jobs to get my spanners out and do later in the year as the service history isn't very clear.
I haven't worked out how to put any photos on yet.
Great site for information.

I have been looking at and went to see some others (Merc SLK, BMW Z4, MX5s but they all had issues mainly rust and I didn't think much to them). My son who works for the Renault F1 team suggested a Wind. Had a drive in the nearest one for sale and decided straight away I wanted it. Funnily enough never really thought of trying one, wish I had done it sooner.
I just got rid of a 66 plate 208 GTI as I fell out of love with it...
FYI, my wife is banning me going out in the Wind with all my Renault F1 freebies on (T shirt/hat/glasses) as she says I will look too much like a Wally (or words to that effect)..

Hi Barbs...my wife expressly forbids us to go out in matching kit...I'm quite envious of the two of you posing in your Renault F1 jackets !!

They have different sponsors so only the Renault badge matches.

HI,
Welcome to the forum.
The GT Line is definitely the best spec & the 1.6 engine loves to rev!!
Mine has reverse sensors which I thought were standard on the GT Line.
Ours is not pampered being a daily driver & our holiday transport for trips across Europe.
I'm not exactly well matched with kit as my baseball cap has MG on it from my previous car; a TF160; & on our trips down to the Med I wear a fedora when posing top down in the sunshine!!!!!!!!!!!!
ENJOY!

I have a favour to ask. I have purchased reverse sensors to fit. Would you be able to send over a picture to see where the official ones are fitted on the bumper?
Many thanks

Re: Picking up my new Wind tomorrow
Pittstop's are the factory fitted positioning rather than the ones put up in the other post. If you remove the bumper there are predrilled markings on the inside for the sensors and they are as shiwn by pittstop.
