Re: Hello from Southampton
Also have 1.6 GT Line.
Good spec when it comes to long distance comfort: Seats: Leather, heated, height adjustable,
Reversing sensors, auto air con, etc.
Engine preference depends on chosen driving style!! 1.2 torquey 1.6 revvy.
Enjoy!

Re: Hello from Southampton
One thing that interests me: Are the contrasting fog lamp surrounds original or an accessory.
Anyone know?
Black ones might look good on my blue Wind

Hi knebby
I bought the spot light surrounds from Renault direct they we're expensive but worth it I think.
Nice to meet you both
They we're only available in silver as far as I remember pitstop but you could have them sprayed - paid about £100 for them.
Bought the chrome mirror covers at the same time originally mine were black.
Having the roof sprayed end of next week, and front and rear parking sensors and daylight running lights the Monday after.
Cant wait to meet some of you at a club meet at some point have never seen a wind while I've been in my car only when I've been in the company car its so frustrating !!
Renault also had a rear part for conversion to twin tail pipes that was £384 - I drew the line at that - unable to use the rear tow eye if it was fitted it was the price that put me off came in black unsure if it would have needed to be sprayed.

Hello Elnumbre
Yes I've seen three in Southampton another black on a white one and a blue one.
Not sure whether they live here or were just passing thru.
Thanks for your welcomes

Re: Hello from Southampton
Some interesting issues coming up here.
I thought reversing sensors were standard on the GT Line.
Re front sensors. Where are you picking up your power supply? Whilst reversing sensors usually pick up from reversing light feed do front ones pick up from ignition so are live all the time the engine is running? I fitted daytime running lights myself ( you can see one on my avatar) & took the feed from the ignition linked glove pocket power socket.
What colour/texture are you having the roof sprayed?

Re: Hello from Southampton
Hi pitstop
I've no idea where the power for the front parking sensors is being picked up from, as I'm having them professionally fitted.
The roof is being sprayed locally for me, after I had seen his work on a friends car and was impressed with the result.
Its going to be in matching black and having seen some on the collection done by Renault, the piece with the brake light in is still plastic.
He is going to spray that as well because after looking at he he thought it didn't look finished off.
I have bought some chrome effect wrap which I'm hoping he will do the boot flutes with at the same time.
I will post some piccies later both of the spray job and later still ofthe parking sensors.
Thanks for showing such interest.
Ps my GT line does not have parking sesors fitted as standard hence me having after market ones done.
I bought my wind very much on speck - had never seen one before and didn't know about the collection or gordini limited editions or I may have looked for one.
