Hey!!

I don`t own a Wind yet but I`m keen on learning more about this exclusive model from Renault.

Right now I`m a bit lost which engine to choose, as some say the 1.2 is enough, others say the 1.6 is the one to go for... but this will be a car to keep for many years.

I'm most definitely in the "cool" cat category
Myself I went for the 1.2 after reading quite a few independent reviews... Low end speed on the 1.2 is apparently better, with the 1.6 taking a little longer to "get going"... but there again, apparently the 1.6 has a better exhaust note and sounds more sporty.
The 1.2 is certainly nippy enough for my needs, and can feel like a go-kart as it corners as if on rails !!
My advice... get yourself behind the wheel of one.. get the roof open..and prepare to drive a car that will see you driving with a constant smile on your face
Once you try one... you'll be sold on them !!

Having test driven both when looking for mine I would agree with previous post. The 1.2 Turbo has better initial response but the 1.6 does sound gooood. My advice would be to concentrate on the spec ( I settled on a 1.2 Collection so got all the bells and whistles) and then get it remapped for around £200 and you get very close to the power output of the 1.6.
