Twingo 133
Just to confirm... the 1.6 engine is the same as the Twingo 133, yes? Follow-up question: are parts still available from Renault? Thanks in advance!

Re: Twingo 133
Thanks again for help on this - tracked down the correct part through our local Renault dealer and they also sourced the radio code (more helpful advice on another conversation thread). Looking forward to a Wind meet to say thanks in person!

Just seen your image.Neil wrote:Crushed in the stampede...!
Same camera angle as mine!
As you will see: I've gone for a black front.
Also daytime running lights.
Wheels are also black.

Re: Twingo 133
Hi Pittstop, I selected the angle to show the first three letters of the reg - AFW. Black front noted. I haven't progressed beyond clean, polish and wax yet, though the wheels may need some attention before too long. Not sure if black everything on a black car may be too much.

Re: Twingo 133
As you say. My black bits better complement a light blue body.
Re the Renault Sport 1.6 133 vvc engine. A great engine in it's day but by 2010/11 it was getting a bit dated delivering it's power too near the top end of the rev range with little on offer at low revs.
That said it's still an easy drive in town traffic as it is smooth at lower revs; just not powerful; & the close ratio gearbox helps to keep it "on the cam" when pressing on.
I think the Wind & the Twingo RS were it's swansong.

Re: Twingo 133
I think it's fun to drive, looks good and is a well-priced, quirky car. I may be booking it in for diagnostics (can't decide if it has lost a ittle power or I've just become accustomed to it), but other than that and ongoing phone-pairing challenges which I seem to have with every car, it's a great buy.
