Hi my name's Paul and I've joined your excellent forum to hopefully to  get some advice on buying and owning a wind . We are looking for a small fun car for days out weekends etc and not for everyday we don't have a garage so car will be out in elements .Would be doing long motorway runs visiting family so car would have to be suitable for that as well we are in our early 50s and not aggressive drivers .
We have driven a 1.2 car which drove really well better than the mx5s weve had and plan to look at a 1.6 version today. I would be looking for a low milage example if I can and the pricing seems to be all over the place the dealers seem to be asking big money for the cars compared to private sales and looking at market nothings moving that quickly a lot of cars don't seem to have been maintained properly either .Saying that I can't believe there not more popular as they seem to be a well kitted out and nice to look at I never realised they were a convertible until recently I was looking at puegoet 207cc but saw one of these I glad I did the 207 was a boring drive
Cheers paul

Hi Paul,
Welcome to the forum, I have had 2 Winds, the first of which I bought on speck - without even having seen one before I just fell in love with it on sight.
It was a 1.6 vtt GTline low mileage - I spent some money fixing things that were hanging over from the previous owner ie indicators not self cancelling - meant a new switch.
It was due to have a cambelt change which is costly on a 1.6 so decided to swop it in.
I found a very low mileage 1.2 Gordini which I now own and an very happy with.
Good luck with your purchase you may like to try to find one of the limited editions either a Collection, or Gordini both limited to 200 and I would go with the 1.2 - cheeper on tax and ins.
Hope you find this useful - good luck from one Paul to another.  lol!

We've taken plunge and purchase a 1.2 GT line in blue this evening looking forward to driving something a bit different. It's going to be booked in in morning for major service cambelt and water pump .

Hi thanks for replys it was our favourite colour but to be honest they are all decent colour choices and we would be happy with any of them. I've had a run out today topless of course If the computer is correct surprisingly good mpg so far but I'm a steady driver cheers Paul
