My Ma has a street Ka,  its funky but because of the 1.6 engine its really expensive to tax and insure.  And the roof is apparently a bit of a hassle to get down.

I like the Ka's though - good honest vehicles , albeit very low rent, but then that is the point isn't it?

Yes that is exactly the point. When its dirty I won't be heading home to wash it. But it is a nice colour.

Had a lovely afternoon out topless but the Wind is all parked up till next weekend and it will still be clean yeah what a great feeling.

Told it was a rare colour but there is another in Doncaster. Coming home from work tonight and the Wind is gleaming. So the KA is worth every penny. Actually it drives quite well. But I don't love it.... Resist temptation....

Lads at work took the p**s because of the colour but they know how I feel about my Wind.

Well first week over. Feel different about my job this week. Each night I have come home and my Wind is sat there sparkling. The Purple one has got dirty but it didn't make me cry..... So I gave it a treat and jet washed it tonight so it doesn't feel totally unloved.

I loved the look of the Street Ka convertible when it came out back in 2003, as an alternative to the Smart Fortwo 450 we had at the tme. We even had a test drive in one and it was such an easy gearbox / light clutch change, plus it was reasonably priced.

What put me off though was the badge 'FORD', I had said to myself way back in the 80's that I would never buy Fords again, due to their unreliablility, as my fords were forever breaking down or giving me problems.

So we stuck with the Smart Fortwo.

My old KA managed 700 miles in one day.  Dover to Manchester and back, then Sidcup and back.  That was a long day.

I think I might have a radio surround for one of them, so that you can change to a normal din radio, if you wanted to upgrade.

The reason for the KA I don't mind it getting dirty. The Wind has been clean for a week and today I got to 'Show off in it' a trip to Market Rasen races without thinking I hope no one sees my car covered in muck from work.

We've been unable to locate a genuine keeper for this unroadworthy vehicle, but it has been taken off the roads by Rotherham council for having no tax, no insurance and it is also notified as off road and has a dangerous structure... 
It's off to the compound and the crusher for this 'unique' car now!"

The Ka is having a rest it's the weekend so the Wind has been out playing. Love it and still clean. Somebody has opened a door on to it. So I will have to make a trip to work in it and get the lads opposite to give it a little touch up.

KA came out to play today, bought a fireplace fender on Ebay.  It wouldn't fit in the Wind so KA came to the rescue.

Oh dear I am falling in love my KA passed it's MOT today.

Got up this morning to find some complete useless piece of s**t had broken the wing mirror off the KA. Went to see a mate and  he managed to use resin to repair it. But I am still angry. Hope karma does exist and they get what they deserve.... a slow painful deathl
